Print the application, fill it in, and sign both pages. Then bring it to City Hall, 218 E. Locust St., Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. You can also pick up a paper copy at City Hall.
What you need to open an account
- A photo ID
- The signed application and Water Service Agreement. Both pages must be signed before water service is started.
- A $150.00 utility deposit. The deposit stays on the account until the account is closed; then it is applied to any balance owed.
- A copy of your lease agreement, if you are renting
Good to know
- Services: water, sewer and sanitation (garbage). Your monthly statement also includes mosquito spraying. See Utilities for due dates and payment options.
- The account holder is responsible for all charges for the services.
- If a meter is pulled because of theft of services, there is a $100 service charge to reinstall it.
- A past-due balance with any previous utility provider, for you or another adult living at the address, may be added to your bill.
- The Water Service Agreement protects the city’s drinking water: it lets the city inspect for cross-connections and requires customers to fix unsafe plumbing and maintain any required backflow prevention device.
Keep your information safe: the application asks for personal details such as your driver’s license, Social Security and date of birth. Bring it to City Hall in person. Please do not email it or send personal or bank information through this website.
