The City of Lockney wants everyone to be able to use this website.

Our commitment

The City of Lockney is committed to making its website accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard required for state and local government websites under the U.S. Department of Justice’s ADA Title II rule.

What we have done

  • Pages use headings, landmarks and a “Skip to main content” link.
  • All features can be used with a keyboard, and focus is clearly visible.
  • Text and buttons meet color contrast requirements, and pages work on phones and when zoomed to 200%.
  • Images have text alternatives, and forms have labels and clear error messages.
  • New agendas and minutes are posted as text-based PDFs whenever possible.

Known limitations

Some older documents, including some agendas and minutes posted before this website launched, are scanned images and may not be readable by screen readers. Some links go to services run by other organizations, such as online bill payment and the Code of Ordinances, which have their own accessibility policies.
