Code Enforcement & Permits

Help keep Lockney safe and clean, and find out which projects need a permit.

Report a property concern

Use Report a Concern to tell us about overgrown lots, junk vehicles, unsafe or abandoned buildings, or other possible code violations. You can also call City Hall at 806.652.2355, ext. 3.

Animal Control / Code Enforcement Officer: Andrea Sandoval. Contact through City Hall at 806.652.2355, ext. 3.

Unsafe or abandoned buildings may go through the city’s substandard structure process, which includes a public hearing before the City Council. Hearings are listed on the council agendas.

Permits

Many projects need a city permit before work starts, including new construction, additions, remodeling and re-roofing, fences, carports, storage buildings, sprinkler systems, curb cuts and golf carts. Door-to-door solicitors also need a permit.
